Oobi, Uma, and Kako are outside, excitedly shouting "Camp out!" as they prepare to go camping in the front yard. The three make tent shapes with their hands until they notice that Grampu has finished pitching their real tent. They go inside and Grampu explains that he has three activities planned for the night: sleeping in sleeping bags, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories, which Oobi is afraid of.
After asking what to do first, Uma and Kako agree on ghost stories, but Oobi wants to roast marshmallows. Their disagreement develops into an argument that escalates until the tent is knocked down. Once the puppets fix the tent, they roast marshmallows. Oobi is distracted by several frightening noises. Grampu begins to tell the children a ghost story by repeating the phrase "Boo!" Oobi calls for Grampu to stop and reveals that the sounds are scaring him. Grampu ends his story and the four puppets head to their sleeping bags.
Oobi has trouble falling asleep as he continues to hear the same sounds that were scaring him earlier. He tells Grampu, who gets out his flashlight to show Oobi that there is nothing to be afraid of. The two figure out that the sounds are coming from a cat, an owl and a squeaky back door. Oobi calms down and realizes that the sounds are not as frightening as he originally thought.
Oobi returns to his sleeping bag and assures everyone that he is okay. The children drift off to sleep, only to be awaken by a strange noise. Oobi advises Uma and Kako to locate the source of the sound, which is revealed to be Grampu snoring loudly. They proceed to mimic Grampu's snores. The children end their night by making shadow puppets, which prompts Oobi to play a guessing game with them. Oobi's shadow puppet is revealed to be a horse. Grampu tells everyone that it's time to go to sleep, and they do. Oobi then asks the viewers if they ever get scared, and after this, Oobi says everyone is brave for getting through it as the episode ends.
