Oobi wakes with a wild patch of hair. He first tries to hide it, then styles it, but nothing seems to satisfy him. Oobi asks Grampu to bring him to the barber, where Oobi gets his very first haircut. — ABC Television
Grampu walks into Oobi's room and wakes him up. Oobi stretches and looks at his reflection in the mirror. He notices that he has grown a head full of hair. He is embarrassed to show Uma when he walks downstairs, so he hides it under a flower. Uma is unaware of Oobi's hair until she asks him to smell the flower. She does this and ends up uncovering Oobi's hair. She and Grampu tell him that it looks nice, but Oobi is not convinced. He asks Kako to help him style it in the bathroom. Kako suggests styling it upwards, but Oobi does not like how it looks.
Grampu decides to take Oobi to the barbershop for a haircut instead. There, they see a woman shaking her hair back and forth. This inspires Oobi to do the same. The barber asks Oobi what kind of haircut he wants. Oobi is afraid, for he has never gotten his hair cut before. Grampu offers to get a haircut first to show Oobi how painless it is. This gives Oobi the courage to get a haircut. The barber shows Oobi a list of styles to choose from, but he does not want any of them. Oobi explains that he wants to be bald like Grampu. The scene cuts to a brief musical montage of Oobi's haircut. Once his haircut is complete, Oobi asks Grampu if he is still the same person now that he has lost his hair. Grampu laughs and assures him that he will always be Oobi.
In an interview segment, Kako asks the viewers what it is like for them to get a haircut. Afterwards, Oobi is seen in the living room wearing a wig. He gets the idea to play a dancing game, in which he shakes his wig. He accidentally shakes it off of his head. It it falls onto Grampu as the episode ends.
